Products I Love: Epi Pen Inside Keychains and Buttons

As the mother of two children with food allergies and one of them having a class 6 allergy to peanuts I am paranoid often. Paranoid that there will be something in the food they eat, that someone at school will bring something in and she will accidentally eat it. The possibilities are endless and my mind races when they aren't with me, and in all honesty I worry even when they are with me!

I do everything I can to make those around them aware of their allergies. They wear their Allermates Wristbands I make sure to remind their care takers when they aren't with us and we carry epi-pens everywhere we go. We are teaching our oldest to ask questions about her food to make sure she doesn't just eat anything that comes her way. But I still worry.

Then it dawned on me one day - what if something does happen. In the heat of the moment when she ingests a peanut and starts reacting to it will the teacher know what to do or will they panic. Will they go into the hallway and stare at the rows of bookbags and in a panic not remember which one is hers to get her Epi-Pen and Benadryl? I knew there had to be a simple solution so to the web I went and found these buttons and keychains. I couldn't hit the add to cart button fast enough! They arrived just the other day and now are on my daughter and sons backpacks that go to school with them along with on the zipper compartment on my purse where I carry them when we are out and about as a family. Of course I will always worry but it makes me feel a little better knowing that I am doing Everything I can to make people aware and keep my babies safe. Click here to purchase the exact set that I bought. It was $9.00 and included 2 zipper pulls, 1 button and 1 key chain.

Until Next Time -
Samantha
